The park, garden and woods
The environment of this charming little Château is exceptional. A stone Bridge crosses a leg of the moats leading to the Courtyard of the West-facing facade. To the West, a large grassy PARK surrounded by beautiful trees and watered by two Streams, rises towards the neighbouring WOODS, through which an Avenue of around 300 metres, is crossed by an old Roman road and an old disused railway. This AVENUE should be reopened to provide an entrance directly down from the D15, Saulieu to Liernais road. It is, however, on the East side where the surroundings are of a particularly rare beauty, thanks to the extensive MOATS around a simple French Garden, with the foundations of historic towers at each corner. The property is completed by a 10 Acre WOOD alongside a Stream, the other side of the small road which leads to the old Château Farm to the North.
